Chargeable?

The Garmin Forerunner 405 is the only one particular that is not rechargeable, it utilizes two triple A batteries. All others have a rechargeable lithium ion battery which usually lasts among 10-15 working hours depending on usage. So you bet, the Garmin forerunner 110 GPS is rechargeable.

Water-proof?

All the Forerunner products have an accidental water safety feature, that means the GPS case can withstand unintentional immersion in a single meter of h2o for up to 30 minutes. Watch out, it claims Unintentional....do not use these types of gadgets for the swimming lower leg in triathlons, they won't keep up for long! Running in the bad weather will not bring about concerns which I have identified, they are not immersed.

Personal computer downloadable logs?

Once again, the 101 is actually the only device which does not possess a personal computer software, so the details which is held need to be deleted at some stage. All the actual devices are able of having something like five thousand runs around, which translates to around 2 years of information.

Size & Weight?

The 101, 201, & 301 are nearly the same in sizing and weight. The 101 is marginally bigger. Consider it or not these are very easily portable. The 101 weighs in at 2.6 ounces with batteries, the 201 and 301 equally weigh in at 2.75 ounces. The 205 and 305 have got a distinct style which looks much more like a watch. They will both have the similar sizing's at: 2.1"W x 2.7"H x.7"D and 2.7 oz. in weight. We have employed each designs and they are usually extremely cozy and light and portable. My personal opinion....right now there is not really adequate variation in pounds or designs to make a final decision from.

GPS Signal Power

The actual Forerunner 101, 201, and 301 all have the same aerial and the 205 and 305 share an antenna design. Between the two groups, the 205 and 305 have the more powerful signal power along with an enhanced antenna layout that points at the skies whilst running. We have observed some units will occasionally lose signal while running under dense tree cover or around large buildings. The 205 and 305 don't seem to have this behavior.
